Judge Ansbro was selected from among 38 applicants (*see list of applicants below) as one of 12 attorneys (**see list of nominees below) nominated by the Ninth Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee (***see list of committee members below) in 2006 for two vacated positions on the County Court for Orange County, Florida.

After interviewing in Tallahassee with a panel that included the Governor's General Counsel, Judge Ansbro was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush as a County Court Judge for Orange County effective May 1, 2006.
